The difference between humidity and temperature is that temperature refers to the average kinetic energy of the particles while humidity refers to the percentage of water in the air.

What is Temperature?

Temperature is the average kinetic energy of particles in a substance. In order to have a certain temperature, the particles need to move around at a specific speed.

Temperature is measured in degrees Fahrenheit (F) and Celsius (C). In the United States, the temperature scale starts at zero degrees Fahrenheit and goes up to 100 degrees Fahrenheit. Zero degrees C is equal to 32 degrees Fahrenheit. In Canada, the temperature scale begins at zero degrees Celsius and goes up to plus 30 degrees Celsius. Zero degrees C is equivalent to minus 22 degrees Fahrenheit.

What is Humidity?

Humidity is defined as the amount of water vapor in the air. When we talk about humidity, we are referring to the percentage of water vapor in the atmosphere. If the temperature is higher than the dew point, then condensation occurs. Condensation is the formation of liquid droplets out of gas molecules.

Humidity is a measure of how much water vapor is present in the air at any given time. If the amount of water vapor is high, then the humidity level is high. As the temperature increases, the amount of water vapor in the air also increases. This means that if the temperature is low and the humidity is high, the air may feel cold. However, if the temperature is high and the humidity is low, the air may feel hot.
