What should be the choice of a book for a beginner? This question often strikes the minds of people as they want to choose a book to read for beginners. In my opinion, this is one of the most important decisions in reading and it should be considered carefully before starting.

I have a list of books that I recommend to people who don’t know what to read. But I know that it is not possible to mention everything and the only way to choose a book is to do some research.

In this article, I have mentioned a few steps for choosing a book for beginners.

1. Do a proper research

The first step in choosing a book is to understand what you are interested in, so start reading books of all genres. If you love historical novels, then you can read them. But if you love non-fiction, you can choose those. Always research your interest by reading 5-10 books for a few minutes. This will give you an idea of which book is good for you.

2. Read a bit of everything

You need to know that reading a book is a continuous process, but in the beginning, it is hard to find good books. So, you should read a bit of everything.

You might not like a book but try to read it to know about the genre, so you can avoid reading a book that you don’t like.

3. Look for books in the library

You can check the books in the library if you are not sure about a specific book. Because it will help you to know about the genre. You can search for a particular topic on an e-library such as Amazon, and then you will get the best books related to that.

4. Read the author’s bio

The author’s bio helps you to know the type of book. If you know the author’s background and where he/she is from, then you will be able to judge whether you are interested in a particular book or not.

5. Read reviews

If you are planning to read a book, you can go to Amazon or any other online book review site and check the reviews. The number of people who have reviewed a particular book will be more than the others.

In conclusion, I would say that you need to choose a book based on your interest, read a little bit of everything and don’t limit yourself.
