Here are the main parts of Human Urinary System:
Kidneys
- Two bean-shaped organs located on either side of the abdomen, just below the ribs.
- Filter waste products and excess water from the blood, creating urine.
Ureters
- Two thin tubes that carry urine from each kidney to the bladder.
- Transport urine away from the kidneys, propelled by muscular contractions.
Bladder
- A muscular, sac-like organ located in the lower abdomen.
- Stores urine until it is released from the body through urination.
Urethra
- A tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body.
- Allows urine to exit the body during urination.
