The ceremony takes place in the main auditorium of BISE Hyderabad, Latifabad Unit 9, Hyderabad. Board officials, invited school principals, teachers, parents, and media representatives attend the event. Names are published simultaneously on the official website biseh.edu.pk on the same day of the ceremony.

How Are Position Holders Selected in BISE Hyderabad?

Unlike some boards that use a simple total marks ranking, BISE Hyderabad has a specific position holder selection process:

Group-wise ranking — Science Group and General Group are ranked completely independently. A Science Group student and a General Group student never compete against each other for positions.

Top 10 per group — BISE Hyderabad recognizes the top 10 students per group, making it one of the most inclusive position holder announcements among Sindh boards. The separate gazette entries for Science Group Top Ten Position Holders and General Group Top Ten Position Holders are published as part of the official gazette document.

Clean result requirement — Every position holder must have a clean result with no failed subject. For Science Group students, no failed practical component is allowed. A single F grade in any subject disqualifies a student from the position holders list regardless of their total marks.

No aggregate with 9th class — Unlike the matric certificate which combines 9th and 10th class marks, the position holders list for 10th class is based solely on SSC Part 2 marks obtained in the annual examination.
