AIOU Opens Admissions for Autumn 2025 with 17 New Programs

Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has officially opened admissions for the Autumn 2025 semester. This year, the university has launched 17 new academic programs, expanding learning opportunities for students across Pakistan from Matric to PhD level.

According to AIOU Regional Director Muhammad Zubair, admissions started on July 1, and both the prospectus and admission forms are available online at www.aiou.edu.pk. The deadline for new admissions is August 11, 2025, while continuing students can apply until August 18, 2025.

“These new programs reflect AIOU’s commitment to providing flexible, affordable, and career-focused education,” said Zubair. “We are creating more learning pathways so students from all backgrounds can benefit.”

Among the new offerings are Associate Degrees in Physics, Chemistry, Human Nutrition, and Biochemistry, many of which include face-to-face lab sessions. For students looking to build job-ready skills, the university has introduced certificate courses such as E-Commerce Skills, 3D Animation, and Virtual Store Management.

AIOU also continues to offer its well-known Matric and FA programs, especially useful for students coming from 8th to 12th grade who want to study at home using the distance learning system and online LMS portal.

How to Apply

Students can apply by visiting www.aiou.edu.pk, downloading the prospectus, and submitting their admission form online. Fee payments can be made through banks like MCB and ABL, or via mobile services such as JazzCash and Upaisa.
