CSS ECONOMICS SYLLABUS -Download PDF

The CSS Economics paper carries 200 marks total. It is an optional subject with two separate papers. Each paper has 100 marks.

Candidates must score at least 33% in each paper to pass. The papers test basic economic concepts and current economic issues.

Paper-I covers:

• Microeconomic theory
• Macroeconomic concepts
• Economic systems
• Development economics
• International trade

Paper-II includes:

• Pakistan’s economy
• Economic planning
• Fiscal and monetary policies
• Current global economic trends
• Economic challenges in Pakistan

The exam requires an understanding of economic theories. Candidates must apply these theories to real-world situations. Current economic data about Pakistan is important.
