How to Apply: A Step-by-Step Guide

1. Online Application:

The application process starts with a simple online form. You’ll answer questions about your background, but no additional documents are needed initially. If you have any questions, contact their network of trusted lecturers (nearly 480!). Remember to check the application deadlines!

2. Additional Documents (if shortlisted):

If your initial application is promising, they’ll request further documents via email. This could include:

  • Two expert reports: University professors for advanced students, or former teachers for first-year students.
  • Information on your previous education and social/political involvement.

They’ll give you ample time to submit these documents (3 weeks) and even offer guidance on preparing the reports (6 weeks upon request). It’s wise to start gathering these materials early in the process.

3. Interviews (if shortlisted):

Shortlisted candidates are invited for two interviews:

  • One with a trusted lecturer from your field.
  • Another with a member of the scholarship selection committee.

4. Selection Committee Decision:

The final call rests with the selection committee, which meets regularly throughout the year. They’ll decide who receives the scholarship.
