Government announced Holiday for Islamabad Schools and Colleges

Islamabad red area is sealed by the administration authorities and a holiday is declared for the private schools and colleges. This decision is based on the safety of students.

Interior Ministry released an official statement on Twitter. According to it, all the schools and colleges are advised to stay closed on 22 August, 2024. This decision is based on the safety of students.

Deputy Commissioner Islamabad declared that this decision has been made in light of current tensed political situation in capital.

During a meeting in Islamabad, it’s been discussed that law and order will be the first priority. Furthermore, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi declared that no one is allowed to access red zone area during protest.  

There is a strict warning for those who will try to violate the rules.

Following the tensed situation, authorities advised the citizens to avoid unnecessary travel and to remain updated through media.

PTI Postpones Rally:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has postponed its power show that was decided to schedule on August 22, 2024 (today). The reason behind this delay is when Islamabad authorities cancelled the No Objection Certificate (NOC) of PTI.

The PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan announced to postpone this power show on the direction of party founder Imran Khan.

This power show is allowed to schedule on 8 September and Deputy Commissioner Islamabad handed over the NOC to PTI leaders.
