General Requirements

1: Nationality

  • Be a citizen of a World Bank member developing country.
  • Applicants with dual citizenship in a developed country are ineligible.
  • Academic Background:
  • Hold a bachelorโ€™s degree (or equivalent) earned at least three years before the application deadline.

2. Work Experience

  • Have at least three years of full-time paid work experience in a development-related field.
  • Experience must be recent, obtained within the past six years.
  • Health:
  • Be in good health.
  • Admission:
  • Secure unconditional admission (excluding funding) to one of the 41 participating masterโ€™s programs.

Exclusions

  • Employees, relatives of World Bank Group staff, and previous scholarship recipients who declined the award or did not complete the program are not eligible.

How to Apply for JJWBGSP

Here is the process to apply for JJWBGSP:

Step 1: Secure Admission

Applicants must first gain unconditional admission to at least one of the participating masterโ€™s programs. Only candidates admitted to these programs are eligible to apply for the scholarship.

Step 2: Submit the Scholarship Application

The application process includes two windows:

  • Window 1: 13 January 2025 โ€“ 28 February 2025
  • Window 2: 26 March 2025 โ€“ 23 May 2025

Step 3: Gather Required Documents

  • Unconditional admission letter from a participating program.
