The Board of Intermediate Education Karachi (BIEK) has waived the scrutiny fee for first-year students who are dissatisfied with their exam results. This step was taken following orders from Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah.

Who Can Apply?

BIEK Chairman Dr. Syed Sharaf Ali Shah confirmed that students from the following groups in the 2024 Intermediate Part-I Annual Examinations can apply for free scrutiny:

  • Science Pre-Medical
  • Science Pre-Engineering
  • Science General
  • Commerce (Private)
  • Arts (Private)
  • Home Economics

How to Submit Scrutiny Requests

Students can download the scrutiny form from BIEK’s official website at www.biek.edu.pk. Dedicated counters have been set up to assist applicants:

  • Male students: Inquiry office
  • Female students: Facilitation center

Process Timeline and Fairness

The examination controller has been tasked to process all scrutiny applications within 30 days. Additionally, an inquiry committee, consisting of senior teachers, has been established to address result complaints and maintain transparency.

This initiative ensures students have a fair chance to review their results without financial burden.
