Scholarship Duration

• For Master’s students: 1 – 2 full semesters ( 4 – 5 or 9 – 10 months) or full 1 – 3 trimesters(3 – 4 or 6 – 7 or 9 – 10 months).
• For Ph.D. students: 1 – 10 months.
• For university teachers/researchers/artists: 1 – 10 months.

Eligibility Requirements

• Citizenship: Open to international students except for citizens of Slovakia.

Program Categories

The National Scholarship Program 2023 offers scholarships in three categories:

• Master’s Students
  • Must be enrolled at a university outside of Slovakia in a Master’s program.
  • Must have completed at least 2.5 years of studies in the same program by the application deadline.
• Ph.D. Students
  • Must have completed higher education or scientific training outside of Slovakia.
  • Must be accepted for academic mobility (e.g., studying, research, artistic activities) at a public, private, or state university or research institution in Slovakia (including the Slovak Academy of Sciences).
• University Teachers/Researchers/Artists
  • Must be invited for a teaching, research, or creative stay at a non-profit institution with a valid certificate in Slovakia.
