Punjab Announces 2025 Exam and Admission Schedule

The Punjab Education Department has released the schedule for annual exams, new admissions, and academic activities in the Rawalpindi division for 2025. Here’s what you need to know:

Key Dates

The department has outlined the timeline for major exams to help students and parents prepare in advance:

• Matric Exams: Start on March 4
• Class IX Exams: Begin on March 21
• Intermediate Exams: Scheduled for the first week of May
• Annual Exams (Classes I–VIII): March 12–25, with results on March 31
• New Academic Year: Starts April 1

Admission Details

Admissions for various grades will open soon. Here are the key phases:

• Junior Classes (Prep, Nursery, Class I): Admissions begin February 3
• Government Schools (Classes I–II): Admissions from April 1 to May 31
• Additional intakes for government schools: August 15 to October 31
• Each class allows up to 10% new admissions based on student capacity.

Private Schools

Private schools have set their own schedule for admissions and the academic year:

• New admissions begin February 1
• Annual exams in February
• Academic year starts in March
