Thousands of rechecking applications received by Lahore Board after 9th class result

After a high failure rate in class nine exams, thousands of students applied for rechecking in Lahore board.
Around 287,000 candidates did appear in annual exams of class nine and more than 150,000 couldn’t clear it which is an alarming situation for both students and parents.
Subject wise, Pakistan History has the highest failure rate with only 12.5% pass students.
Likewise, Islamic history comes with 2nd highest failure rate as only 45% students could pass.
General Math has 58%, General science has 60%, Chemistry has 62% and Mathematics has 63% success rate.
Moreover, only 66% students could pass in civics and & 69% in physics.
Observing the low number of passed students, majority has applied online for the rechecking. The last date to apply is August 24, 2024. Paper rechecking fee is 1400 and students will deposit this fee in bank along with online application form. Later on, Lahore board will call students for rechecking through SMS.
