The University of British Columbia (UBC) offers two types of undergraduate scholarships for international students:

  • Outstanding International Student (OIS) Award: A one-time merit-based entrance scholarship.
  • International Major Entrance Scholarships (IMES): Renewable scholarships awarded for up to four years of undergraduate study.

The scholarship amount and the number of awards offered vary each year depending on available funding.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be an international student requiring a Canadian study permit.

  • Meet UBC’s minimum English Language Admission Standard by February 15th.
  • Not be nominated for a need-and-merit-based International Scholars award.
