Award Coverage

Successful applicants will receive a monthly stipend of CHF 1,600 for their chosen Master’s program. This generous support is provided for 10 months each year, from September 15 to July 15, covering the minimum statutory period of the selected program (typically one and a half to two years). Additionally, scholarship recipients will be exempt from fixed registration fees and will only berequired to pay a nominal fee of CHF 80.00 per semester.

– Master’s programs from the School of Medicine

– Master in Sciences and Practices of Education

– Most specializations in the Master of Law (with exceptions for International and Comparative Law, Legal Theory, and International Tax Law and Policy)

– Master of Science in Physical Education and Sport Didactics

– Master of Science in Sustainable Management & Technology

– All MASS (3rd cycle and Further Education programs)

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the UNIL Master’s Grants, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. Hold a foreign university degree equivalent to a bachelor’s degree from UNIL, obtained before the start of the Master’s program

2. Demonstrate outstanding academic achievement through exceptional results in previous studies

3. Possess a minimum language proficiency of C1 level (according to the European Language Portfolio global scale) in either French or English, depending on the language of instruction for the chosen Master’s program

4. Not have been previously registered at UNIL

5. Pay the CHF 200.00 administration fee as part of the application process
