Punjab Government Approves Major Revisions to Class 9 and 11 Curriculum for Upcoming Academic Year
The Punjab government approves major revisions to the Class 9 and 11 curriculum for the upcoming academic year. The Ministry of Education announced these changes in a notification issued on Sunday. The Punjab Curriculum and Textbook Board (PCTB) will implement the updates in key subjects, including English, Urdu, Islamiat, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Biology, and Computer Science.
A significant update is the addition of a dedicated focus on Pakistan’s historical and cultural importance in the Class 10 curriculum. This change aims to modernize the syllabus and make it more relevant to current academic and regional standards.
The PCTB will print new textbooks reflecting these changes and distribute them to schools on time. This ensures that both students and teachers are fully prepared for the revised content when the academic year begins.
