Government Announces New Loan Schemes for Youth and Students

Government Announces New Loan Schemes for Youth and Students. The federal government introduces new loan programs for young individuals and students. The initiative aims to support employment and education.

Chairman of the Prime Minister Youth Programme (PMYP), Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, announces financial assistance for youngsters seeking jobs abroad. He states that eligible individuals will receive up to Rs1 million in loans. The funds cover training, visa processing, travel, and settlement costs.

The government wants to create better economic opportunities for young people. The initiative helps them compete in the international job market.

The State Bank of Pakistan expands the Prime Minister Youth Loan Scheme. The scheme now includes laptop loans for students. Young individuals can use these loans for education and skill development.

Students aged 18 to 30 enrolled in Higher Education Commission (HEC) institutions qualify for laptop loans. The goal is to enhance their learning experience and professional growth.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Maryam Nawaz expands the Honhaar Scholarship Program nationwide. She makes the decision during a high-level meeting on higher education.

Students from all provinces can now apply for the Honhaar Scholarship Program. The eligibility criteria remain the same as in Punjab.

The Punjab government also increases the number of laptops in the Punjab Laptop Scheme. The distribution rises to 110,000 units.

The Honhaar Scholarship Program now covers students in their second, third, and fourth years. The minimum eligibility for laptop distribution is 65% marks.
