AIOU Enrollment – Step-by-Step Process for New & Continuing Students

Stage 1: Create Your Account on the AIOU Admission Portal

Steps to Create an AIOU Account:
- Go to the AIOU Online Admission Portal.
- Click on “Create Account”.
- Enter your mobile number or email (avoid converted numbers from ported networks).
- Set a password and click Create.
- You’ll receive a verification code via email or SMS.
- Enter the code and click Verify.
If you don’t get the code immediately:
- Try resending it.
- Use your email instead of mobile.
- If all fails, don’t worry. Your account will auto-activate after 1 hour, and you can log in the next day.
Stage 2: Apply for a Program
Once your account is active, log in and begin your application.
How to Apply?
- Log in using your credentials at AIOU Enrollment Login.
- On the left panel, click “Apply for New Program”.
- Choose your desired program (Matric, FA, BA, BS, B.Ed., etc.).
- Fill in the required academic and personal details.
- Upload your documents.

Step 3: Check AIOU Eligibility Criteria
Before applying, ensure you meet the eligibility criteria for your desired program. AIOU offers admissions for:

- M.Phil/PhD (depending on semester offerings)

Step 4: How to Complete Profile for Admission (AIOU)

- On the left panel, click “Apply for New Program”.

- Previous academic record
- Employment details (if applicable)
- Upload scanned documents:
- CNIC or B-form
- Passport-size photo

Step 5: How to Download AIOU Fee Challan
After submitting your application:
- Go to the Dashboard on AIOU CMS.
- Click on Download Fee Challan or the PDF icon next to your application.
- Save or print the challan.
Where to Pay AIOU Fee Challan:
You can deposit your AIOU fee challan through:
- UBL, MCB, and First Women Bank
- Easypaisa and UPaisa mobile banking apps
- Franchise outlets of Easypaisa and UPaisa
Important: Pay your fee before the due date shown on the challan. After payment, the challan status will change to PAT (Paid) within 24 hours.
Step 6: Verify Admission Status on AIOU Enrollment
Once your fee is verified:
- Your application status will change to Verified.
- Admission status will appear as Matriculated in the portal.
- Click on the Open button next to your applied program to confirm enrollment.
After this step, you are officially admitted to AIOU for the selected program.
For Continuing Students – AIOU Enrollment for Continuing Students
If you’re already a student:
- Use your existing login at https://enrollment.aiou.edu.pk/psp/prod/?cmd=login
- Update profile if needed
- Select new semester courses
- Generate challan
- Submit fee as per above method
