Punjab Introduces New Curriculum Changes for Classes 6 to 9
The Punjab government has announced major Punjab textbook changes for the upcoming academic year. As part of this update, 29 school textbooks from Classes 6 to 9 will be revised to improve learning quality and ensure that students receive accurate and updated information.
According to officials, the Class 9 textbooks will undergo the most revisions, with 18 books slated for updates. These changes are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to modernize the curriculum and support better learning outcomes for students.
The Punjab Education Curriculum, Training, and Assessment Authority (PECTA) has begun work on preparing the revised textbooks. Publishers have been instructed to adhere to the new guidelines, ensuring that all curriculum updates are properly incorporated into the upcoming editions.
Authorities noted that these Punjab textbook changes will help align school books with modern educational standards. The revised Class 9 textbooks and other updated books for Classes 6 to 9 are expected to be available before the start of the next academic session.
