Here are the main parts of Human Urinary System:

Kidneys

  • Two bean-shaped organs located on either side of the abdomen, just below the ribs.
  • Filter waste products and excess water from the blood, creating urine.

Ureters

  • Two thin tubes that carry urine from each kidney to the bladder.
  • Transport urine away from the kidneys, propelled by muscular contractions.

Bladder

  • A muscular, sac-like organ located in the lower abdomen.
  • Stores urine until it is released from the body through urination.

Urethra

  • A tube that carries urine from the bladder to the outside of the body.
  • Allows urine to exit the body during urination.
